Tell me if you can confirm this works. I'm not sure using a command trigger can work, since by the time a command trigger fires, there is already a process running in p4d that won't drop its connection (even if the trigger rejects the command).

I'm also told broker scripts have a similar issue, but at least with those the idle processes are stopped at the broker.

We might also want to add a script that monitors for and kills long-running idle processes.

The net.maxwait configurable should also help.
