Install and configure a Perforce server.  A two client, two user server may be installed without a license from Perforce.  Please use the Perforce Administrators Guide as a reference when installing Perforce:

Do not update the Perforce server to support UTF8.

This test should NOT be run against a production Perforce server.  This test should be run against a test database.  The Perforce server process hosting the test database may run on the same machine as the Perforce client you use o connect to the database.

To corrupt the server installation:

1) Connect to the running server using a Perforce client. 
2) Create a few labels.  The name of the label is unimportant.  The label should be filled with the following text:

3) Create a text file with the name:

"example_spañish_file.txt"

4) Check the file and give the changelist the same description given the label in step 2.

5) Add the newly created and submitted text file to the Perforce label created in step 2.

6) Attempt to update the Perforce server to support UTF8.  Please see:

7) The update step should fail.
