  6. <P>PerForte is a <A href="http://www.perforce.com/">Perforce</A>-binding for the 
  7. generic version control module of <A href="http://www.sun.com/forte/ffj/">Forte 
  8. for Java, 3.0 (early access)</A>. The configuration is for the Unix version, but 
  9. should be easily adaptable for Windows. The configuration was initially created 
  10. by Chris Hogue.</P>
  11. <P>This is just a first cut. Feedback and improvements are more than 
  12. welcome!</P>
  13. <H2>Installation</H2>
  14. <P>Un-tar the following archive in your forte for java user directory. In 
  15. forte4j, in the context menu of "Filesystem" select "mount generic version 
  16. control system", select "Perforce" from the drop down and fill in your 
  17. attributes.</P>
