- API Release 2017.1 does not include libp4sslstub.a, so a build without OpenSSL fails.
- The OpenSSL binary in Cent
...There's actually two problems here:
- API Release 2017.1 does not include libp4sslstub.a, so a build without OpenSSL fails.
- The OpenSSL binary in CentOS 7 includes FIPS support, so the current P4Python regular expression fails to recognise it.
The latter can be worked around locally by:
pip install p4python --install-option=--ssl --install-option=/usr/lib
which overrides the SSL detection. The value of the second option isn't massively important, since OpenSSL's libraries are in the standard search path here. « | |
