> yeah, we just need to announce it; blog post, sync article, and forum post. Can you draft it? ## Announcement/Forum Post With the addition of Markdown support in the Workshop, we will be shutting down wiki.workshop.perforce.com permanently from . All traffic will be redirected to the Workshop where you can find both the docuemntation and the source code of the projects. This is part of the many enhancements we have been adding to the Workshop. Please see the following blog post for more information: Thanks for contributing to the wiki all these years - see you all in the Workshop! ## Blog Post/Sync Article We have made a number of changes to the Workshop lately with the aim to make it work better for everyone. Here are some of the most prominent ones. ### Markdown You can now submit documentation in the Markdown format and have it rendered in the Workshop. Simply submit the files with one of the following extensions: 'markdown', 'mdown', 'mkdn', 'md', 'mkd', 'mdwn', 'mdtxt', 'mdtext'. If you contribute to one of the projects, you can submit a file named "README.md" to main branch to have the file displayed in the overview of the project page. The Markdown support is an extension to Swarm which is self-hosted in the Workshop in case you want to install it on your Swarm server: http://swarm.workshop.perforce.com/projects/perforce-software-workshop Note that this is a community extension and not officially supported by Perforce technical support. ### Retiring wiki.workshop.perforce.com Since we have Markdown rendering within Swarm, we have migrated all of our wiki pages to the Workshop so the documentation stays with the project in one place. Following the tradition of version everything, we have archived the raw wiki source in the Workshop for future reference: https://swarm.workshop.perforce.com/files/guest/lester_cheung/wiki-archive/mediawiki ### Download Buttons You can now download an archive of any directory or project branch directly from the Workshop using your browser. ### Short URL ... makes sharing URLs much easier. ### Locked Clients ### Clients are now locked by default. This is to prevent other users from updating your client specification so there will be one less April fool's surprise down the road. ### Stay tuned for more The community development team is hard at work to bring your even more features in the future - stay tuned for more updates as it happens. Share & enjoy!
