<h1>Perforce German User Group</h1>
<p>A Perforce German User Group has been setup - the intention is to provide a
forum for Perforce related discussions most likely for German speaking clients
but membership is open to anyone!</p>
<p>This looks to complements the worldwide Perforce-User mailing list which is
both very active and helpful, and the
<a href="http://www.perforce.com/perforce/conf2003/index.html">Perforce User
Conferences</a> (to date these have all been in the USA).</p>
<h2>User Group Meeting</h2>
<p>The group is having an initial 1 day meeting:</p>

<p dir="ltr">The main focus of this event is for customers to meet and share
information. Tony Smith from Perforce (head of the UK Support Team) will be
there to provide some insights into Perforce plans, and also answer technical
questions. Presentations will be in German and English.</p>
<h2 dir="ltr">Schedule</h2>
<p dir="ltr">The current provisional schedule is from 9.00 - 5.00, with the
following presentations (not necessarily in this order):</p>

<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Introductions (by all participants) - a few minutes per person
introducing themselves/company/use of Perforce/questions they would like to
discuss</li>

<p dir="ltr">Presentation by Tony Smith of Perforce (covering upcoming
releases and answering some technical questions)</li>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Lunch</li>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Presentation by Ralf Martin (Harman Becker) on server performance
and logfile analysis (P4GLA)</li>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Presentation by Robert Cowham (Perforce Consulting Partner and
Trainer) on advanced branching strategies</li>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Presentation by Ralf Oyen (TUI InfoTec) on TUI's processes</li>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Others - to be decided</li>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Roundtable discussion on areas of interest/sharing of information
(at least 2 hours)</li>

<p dir="ltr">Review of day and suggestions for future events</li>

<p dir="ltr">We plan to have dinner together in the evening at a local
restaurant (sponsored by
Perforce), starting at 7.30pm.</p>
<h2 dir="ltr">Costs</h2>
<p dir="ltr">There will be no charge for attending the event itself, although
participants will obviously have to pay for their own travel and accommodation
costs. The venue facilities are kindly being sponsored by TUI Infotech.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Lunch and dinner are kindly being sponsored by Perforce.</p>
<p dir="ltr">We are looking to get a group discount rate at a local hotel - info
to be provided shortly.</p>
